Entering Grade: K-Prep

Most Lasting Benefit of Your HDS Experience: There are many aspects from HDS that will be beneficial to me when I move on to High School/College, but the one that stands out to me is languages. Harford Day School makes sure to get as in-depth as possible in the languages that are offered. I am currently taking Spanish, and I have seen my growth over the years. I will continue studying Spanish into the future.

One activity/subject you would not have tried unless you were at HDS: I have been involved in many sports and clubs but I probably would not have tried Set Design. We brainstorm ideas for the middle school plays and have fun letting our imaginations run wild!

What makes HDS special?
Harford Day School creates many special moments for every student. The way students can connect with teachers is amazing at HDS, and makes it a special place. If you have questions about an upcoming assignment, concerns about a specific lesson or unit, or just want to catch up or talk to your teacher, they will all make time for you.

Favorite HDS Memory: Over my many years at HDS, I have lots of happy memories of holiday programs and thanksgiving feasts. On the academic side, one memory that I will never forget is 6th grade science. In 6th grade we all got to do dissections. I just remember everybody being excited to go to science class and not wanting to miss a thing. We all thought we were so cool with our goggles, gloves, and tools. During class time, we all loved learning about the dissections and didn't want the lessons to be over.
