Middle School Productions

Fall Drama

In the fall the Middle School performs a play. Participation is open to all students in Grades 6-8 through auditions for the actors and interviews for all other positions in the production. The Middle School students also act as the stage crew, tech crew, and assistant scenery painters (with adult supervision) for these plays.

Spring Musical

Each year the entire middle school population is invited to audition for a role in the annual musical. Usually between 55 and 65% of the middle school students participate in some form - actors, dancers, stage crew, or tech crew. For the past few years, we have even used a student director to be the assistant to the faculty director. In past years, we have performed such musicals as Aladdin, Fiddler on the Roof, The King and I, Beauty and the Beast, Oklahoma, The Little Mermaid, and Peter Pan.

Harford Day is the only PK3 to Grade 8 independent school in Harford County accredited by AIMS (Association of Independent Maryland/DC Schools) and a member of NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools).
