Admissions Team

Director of Enrollment Management Diane Russell

When I visited Harford Day School as a prospective parent for our four-year-old son, I already knew the school by reputation. As a former educator and senior class advisor at The John Carroll School, I had worked with many Harford Day alumni over the years. Again and again, I found that some of the most memorable students I advised had come from Harford Day—student leaders, talented performers, and standout athletes.

What truly set them apart, however, wasn’t just their achievements. It was their presence: they looked you in the eye, engaged thoughtfully in conversation, pursued their passions with determination, and approached their schoolwork with curiosity and purpose. Confident yet grounded, comfortable with peers and adults alike, they embraced their high school experience and made the most of every opportunity.

When I finally stepped onto the Harford Day campus myself, everything clicked—the warm, genuine welcome, the colorful artwork, the vibrant classrooms, and the students fully engaged in learning.

Through the admissions process, we strive to offer authentic experiences that allow you to see our program in action while giving us the chance to get to know your family. We look forward to being your guide and partner throughout your admissions journey. Welcome to Harford Day!

Admissions Counselor Abbi Graber

As Admissions Counselor at Harford Day School, I am honored to help guide families into our close-knit community where learning is embraced as a joyful process. I have also discovered a passion for working with our 8th Grade Ambassadors. Watching these young leaders grow and represent Harford Day inspires me daily.

As a Pennsylvania native and proud Penn State graduate, I bring a background in early childhood education and behavioral health. Just before joining Harford Day, I taught preschool, which sharpened my understanding of child development, resilience, and the importance of nurturing strong relationships. It also reinforced my belief that seeing the whole child as a capable individual is essential to meaningful education.

Outside of school, I operate a small, home-based cake business, Graber’s Little Bakery, and also enjoy running, hiking, and being outdoors with my three mini-dachshunds.
