2019-2020 Tuition & Fees

Harford Day School's Board of Trustees meets annually in January to set tuition for the following academic year. In making its decision, the Board diligently considers tuition data for peer schools, compiled by both the Association of Independent Maryland & DC Schools (AIMS) and the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).

Harford Day School is the only elementary and middle school in Harford County accredited by AIMS and holding membership in NAIS. This status places Harford Day among the 120 most elite private schools in Maryland and the District of Columbia and holds HDS to the highest expectations for excellence.

Fee Information

Fees

Some schools charge many fees throughout the school year. At Harford Day School we aim to have tuition and stated fees cover the majority of expenses, including materials and softcover books, school activities such as the Thanksgiving Feast, Fiesta Carnival (Grades 1-3), Chinese New Year (Grades 4-8), School Wide End of Year Party, Cast Parties, 2 Teacher Appreciation Lunches-December and June, Teacher Gifts, and Parent Association seed money. Most trips are covered by tuition. Parents are billed for overnight and some special day trips.
